Owen Hill, running for state senator, is under scrutiny for a comment he made to a GOP (Grand Old Party) crowd.
The joke he told dealt with the rumor of President Barrack Obama being born outside of the United States, otherwise known as the “Birther” conspiracy theory.
Audio uploaded to Buzzfeed captured Owen Hill making what is now a controversial comment, said on November first at a GOP Breakfast where listeners laughed.

Owen Hill:
“You spend time out there and little kids are running around barefoot in these kinds of streets and you ask them what they want to be, they want to be an astronaut, they want to be a physicist, a marine biologist, one kid even told me he wanted to be President of the United States. I held back my snarky comment that said ‘Well, you know what, we already have someone from Kenya as President of the United States.”

Nine News requested an interview with Hill but Hill denied to comment on the incident. Hill did make a written comment claiming the recording and releasing of the information “sleazy.”
“The fact that my obvious joke is being highlighted today just shows how worried Mark Udall and the Democrats actually are of my campaign for the U.S. Senate here in Colorado,” Hill wrote.
This is nothing new for anyone involved in the political game. Citizens are loaded with information to sway potential votes one way or another, such as was the case with Grover Cleveland and his scandals.
People who devote their time to following political candidates to capture video or audio of a “slip-up” are called trackers.
